My Story

Hey, I’m Kyle. Fitness and athletics have always been at the core of who I am. Throughout my life, I’ve competed in hockey, baseball, football, tennis, golf, and I'm currently training for bodybuilding. Each sport has taught me a valuable lesson in discipline, consistency, teamwork, and perseverance. Those lessons now shape the way I coach as a Certified Elite Trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the weight room, I’ve trained through multiple decades myself, giving me real-world insight into how the body adapts at different stages of life. Being over 40 allows me to truly understand what works for teenagers, clients in their 20s and 30s, and adults over 40, from recovery and joint health to performance and long-term sustainability. I don’t just study these differences; I’ve lived them, refined them, and passed that knowledge directly to my clients.

I’ve worked with both men and women ranging from ages 15 to 81, helping them improve general fitness, build strength and muscle, and prepare both mentally and physically for higher-level goals. My coaching spans general fitness, strength training, bodybuilding, and contest preparation, with programs designed to meet clients exactly where they are, whether that’s stepping into a gym for the first time or stepping on stage.

For physique and bodybuilding athletes, I offer structured contest prep coaching, focusing on intelligent training progression, conditioning, recovery, and mindset throughout the prep process. For general fitness clients, my approach emphasizes sustainable progress, improved confidence, and results that enhance everyday life, not just short-term outcomes.

At Lofton Fitness in Marquette, MI, every training plan is personalized and rooted in what works for each individual and with the understanding of how the body responds to training, stress, and recovery over time. I’m committed to continued education, so my clients benefit from both proven methods and evolving best practices.
